Trigeminal neuropathy in two horses following trauma to the infraorbital and mental nerves

This case series describes two cases of a head injury resulting in traumatic neuropathy the infraorbital nerve and mental nerve, respectively. Both presented with head-shaking behaviour assumed facial dysaesthesia. is cause not previously described horses. One horse (Case 1) had small wound at level foramen was diagnosed bony fragment adjacent to using computed tomography (CT) ultrasonography. Treatment consisted surgical removal fragment, systemic anti-inflammatories multimodal analgesia.
